As a Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for
installing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance for
commercial clients, including conveyor repairs and all maintenance
repairs. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for
delivering a superior experience and an excellent finished product
to our clients with every single job. Must have strong
communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work
autonomously while using good judgment. Essential Job Functions:
Demonstrate a Customer First mentality and maintain a safe, secure,
and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards
and procedures and always complying with OSHA regulations.
Communicate regularly and effectively with leadership and clients
regarding timelines and expectations and demonstrate the ability to
work autonomously while using good judgment. Maintain effective and
appropriate communication with subcontractors, installers, and
colleagues, take initiative to problem solve and be resourceful
on-site. Complete assessments of projects at various stages of
construction, reporting progress or setbacks to all invested
parties. Adhere to all client workplace expectations, including
site access procedures, professional dress code, social media
guidelines, cell phone usage, and site safety standards. Ability to
estimate project scope, materials, timeline, and implementation
plan. Ability to work with tools, materials, and equipment
pertinent to the project at hand. Participate in maintaining the
successful operation of material handling equipment at Client
sites. Understand Client site needs, supporting parts and services
work as needed, identifying system enhancement opportunities via
equipment and technology. Immediately work with the appropriate
team members internally to ensure resolution of issues. Work to
consistently deliver sites above and beyond the performance
agreements. Plan to travel 80% of the time, traveling between
cities frequently by plane or car. Maintain a Customer First
mentality. Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on
commercial equipment such as conveyors, motors, and other
machinery. Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions. Communicate
regularly and effectively with leadership and clients regarding
timelines and expectations. Take initiative to problem solve and be
resourceful on-site. Complete assessments of projects at various
stages of construction, reporting progress or setbacks to all
invested parties. Adhere to all client workplace expectations,
including site access procedures, professional dress code including
required safety vest and PPE, social media guidelines (no postings
or photos on site for personal use), cell phone usage (only
permitted when required for job site photos or professional
communication), following site safety standards (OSHA regulations
are the minimum expectation), etc Ability to estimate project
scope, materials, timeline, and implementation plan. Ability to
work with tools, materials, and equipment pertinent to the project
at hand. Requirements: Requirements: Basic customer service
experience and willingness to represent the company to customers on
site. Able to pass a background screening and have a clean driving
record. Enthusiastic about furthering their skills through
education and training. Representing Force Building Services in
their work ethic, appearance, tone, and completed product. Must
always conduct themselves with the utmost integrity. High School
diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of three years of
maintenance experience is required. One year of property
maintenance experience is preferred. OSHA 10 certification is
preferred. Must be willing to workday shift, night shift, overnight
shift, and on-call as required. Must have a valid passport. Must
have served in the military. Must be able to travel up to 75% of
the time. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various
commercial settings and be on-call when needed. Ability to lift and
move heavy equipment as needed. Ability to stand, bend, and kneel
for long periods of time. Possess a valid driver's license and
reliable transportation. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or stairs for extended
periods. Ability to work in confined spaces. Must be able to wear
PPE for extended periods. Work Environment: This role requires
travel up to 80% of the time, traveling between cities frequently
by plane or car. Work in both indoor and outdoor environments. May
be required to work on-call and outside of regular business hours.
This position requires working on the road at various job sites for
extended periods of time. The work environment includes exposure to
construction sites, extreme temperatures, and loud noises. Must
adhere to all safety requirements.
