Year Up is excited to offer a unique Software Development JOB
Training Program designed to equip young adults with critical tech
skills while bridging the opportunity divide. This program blends
academic learning with hands-on experience, preparing participants
for in-demand careers in software development. Over the course of
one year, enrollees will engage in coursework taught by industry
experts, coupled with real-world internships facilitated by top
tech companies. This program not only focuses on teaching
programming and development skills but also incorporates crucial
career readiness training to support participants' professional
growth. Participate actively in all educational and training
activities and workshops. Complete all assigned projects and coding
exercises to demonstrate competency in various programming
languages. Engage in problem-solving sessions to improve
troubleshooting skills. Attend and participate in internship
assignments to gain practical experience. Collaborate with peers
and mentors to complete group projects and enhance teamwork skills.
Prepare for and achieve professional certifications as outlined in
the training curriculum. Fundamental understanding of programming
languages such as Python, Java, or C++. Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team
environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Time
management and organizational skills. Participants will be prepared
to achieve industry-recognized certifications in areas such as
CompTIA A, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, and more
throughout the course of the program.
